Bandits Strike Kebbi Community, Kill 15 Farmers, Injure Others

Bandits killed 15 kebbi farmers in another deadly attack at Waje community in Danko Wasagu Area of the State. Among the victims of the incident are three others who the assailants critically injured.

According to Channel Television, the unfortunate attack was confirmed by the state deputy governor, Senator Umar Tafida. Mr. Tafida represented Governor Nasir Idris during a condolence visit to the residence of the District Head of Waje. He expressed sympathy with the victims of the incident and announced that they will be supported by the state government.

The deputy governor claimed that the donation from the government will assisted the injured victims and the families of the deceased. Also, in his address, he said the government will look into the insecurity situation in the community.

Reacting to the deputy governor’s statement, the District Head of Waje, Hon. Bala Danbaba, commended the state government. He praised the governor for the visit and financial assistant, stating that it will help the victims.

Hon. Danbaba stated that the porous border between Danko Wasagu and states like Zamfara, Sokoto, and Niger make fighting insecurity difficult. Therefore, he appealed for more efforts to block the entry points of the criminals into their communities.

Also in his words, the chairman of the Danko Wasagu Local Government, Alhaji Hussaini Aliyu Bena, confirmed the incident. He stated the bandits killed 15 farmers and injured others before leaving the community.

Meanwhile it should be noted that Bandits killed 15 kebbi farmers hours after APC chairman was killed in Ondo State. Citynews earlier reported that some gunmen killed Nelson Adepoyigi, the kidnapped chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr. Adepoyigi was the chairman of the APC at Ward 5, in ifon, Ose Local Government Area (LGA) of the state before in death.
