Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, is once again in the news as her mother revealed who raised her. The Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo praised her colleague Kudirat Ogunro, known as Kudi Alagbo, for helping raise her Priscilla.
The praise came during Priscilla’s final wedding ceremony in Tanzania. The wedding celebration is ongoing in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. With the latest wedding celebration, there are more than five ceremonies held in both Tanzania and Nigeria.
The wedding, themed ‘African Royal Wedding,’ celebrates the union of Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian artist Juma Jux. Iyabo Ojo spoke warmly about Kudi’s role in her children’s upbringing. She recounted how Kudi helped during her early motherhood years while she managed her acting career.
A viral video shared by Kudi on Instagram shows Iyabo Ojo in a ceremonial ‘aso ebi’ outfit. In the video, Iyabo thanked Kudi for her constant support. She described Kudi as a hands-on caregiver for both Priscilla and her brother, Festus.
According to The Punch, the actress said in Yoruba that Kudi stood in for her when she was away filming. She expressed gratitude for Kudi feeding, bathing, and caring for her children. Iyabo also credited Kudi for teaching Priscilla how to cook.
She said, “This is part of the people that raised Priscilla. This is Mummy Priscilla. Thank you so much.” She added that Kudi even disciplined the children when necessary. The two women laughed during the heartfelt moment.
Iyabo Ojo prayed blessings over Kudi and teased her about marriage plans. In her response, Kudi confirmed she intends to marry someday. Iyabo asked, “Do you still want to get married?” Kudi replied, “Yes.”
Iyabo extended her well-wishes to Kudi for a happy future marriage. The exchange showed the deep bond between the two women. Their friendship has been strong for many years.
The wedding event, named JP2025, attracted many Nigerian celebrities to Tanzania. Among the guests were Funke Akindele, Enioluwa, Jaiye Kuti, Chioma Ikokwu, and Sikiratu Sindodo. The event has become a major social occasion for Nollywood stars.
