Victor Osimhen Transfer News: A Battle Between European Big Clubs

Share

In the last few months, Victor Osimhen transfer news has dominated the media as many top teams battle for his signature. Over the years, the Nigerian number nine has made a name for himself. Therefore, he is regarded as one of the best strikers in world football.

The striker is currently linked to numerous clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and recently Juventus. In the last transfer window, Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli after a failed transfer deal to Chelsea. According to the report, the London club submitted a bid for the Nigerian on the final day of the transfer window. They planned to get him on a season-long loan with an option to buy him permanently.

Just like in London, Victor Osimhen transfer news went viral in the red side of Manchester. Many Manchester United fans see the Striker as the solution to their problem upfront. They all want a top striker who can give them over 20 goals in a season in the Premier League. Unfortunately, many do not see such a striker in Rasmus Hojlund, but believe Osimhen could give them what they need.

Also, the Nigerian striker has been linked to Arsenal on different occasions. The Gunners need a striker, and many believe they should go for either Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres. The lack of the top nine players has been described as Arsenal’s major problem. Despite having great seasons in recent years, they failed to win any major trophy as they sometimes struggled to find the back of the net.

Away from England, supporters of Saudi Arabian clubs and Juventus in Italy have had their own update of Victor Osimhen transfer news. The striker has been linked to the Old Ladies and numerous clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

However, a recent report stated that he has rejected the offers presented by Juventus. Therefore, England remains his most likely destination ahead of the 2025/26 season.

In his recent advice to his former club, Joe Cole urged Chelsea to sign Osimhen in the summer. He described the striker and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins as perfect players for the Blues. Cole explained that Chelsea would need to improve on their scoring ability next season.

“If Osimhen is available, go and get him. Ollie Watkins in that Chelsea team improves them straight away,” he said.

Meanwhile, City News Nigeria reported that John Obi Mikel urged Chelsea to bring Osimhen to the club. The former Chelsea midfielder believes his fellow Nigerian is well-suited to move to the Stamford Bridge.

Speaking during an episode of the Obi One Podcast, Mikel praises Victor Osimhen. He said: “His hunger when he plays, the ambition when he plays is something that few players have,” he said. He added, “The arrogance he has, the feistiness he has that you need to be able to succeed in the Premier League as a top striker.”

Chelsea might win the battle to sign the Nigerian striker, with the report that Manchester United have agreed to a deal with Liam Delap and Arsenal are linked to Viktor Gyokeres.
